Originally from Sarasota, Florida, Matt is a Managing Director in the private equity investments group at Thrivent, in Minneapolis. He is responsible for evaluating and executing private equity investment opportunities, focusing on the middle-market leveraged buyout space, for a group that manages over $5 billion of assets and deploys over $1.25 billion of capital per year.Previously, Matt worked as a Vice President at W. P. Carey. While at WPC, he was involved in ~$9 billion of transactions, including M&A, senior debt issuances, and fund originations. Matt also had M&A roles at Sandler O’Neil and PwC.Matt graduated from Miami, Summa Cum Laude, and was selected Valedictorian of his class. He received an M.S. in Accountancy, with highest honors, from Notre Dame and an M.B.A., as a Wallman Scholar (top 5% of class), from the University of Chicago.
