Graduating in the early 90s, through the early years of my career I rode the first wave of what we now call “digital”. Working with Wordsearch CEO Phil Redding amongst others, we grew from 12 people in the archetypal Clerkenwell basement to a 400+ powerhouse helping the UK’s biggest brands dip their toes in the digital waters. I had a new job every year, and each time it was a brand new job. The world was trying to work out what the internet was and what it could be. And we were there in the middle of it all, pedalling furiously, making it up as we went along. I can’t imagine that I will ever again learn so many lessons, so quickly, that will prove so enduringly effective.Phil and I became partners in Wordsearch in 2002, and have led the business through significant expansion - of global footprint, of market sectors, of services and capabilities. As Group Managing Partner, I am focused on ensuring that all corners of the Wordsearch world work to the same high standards, and uphold our ethos of Insight, Creativity, Delivery. This means lots of travel, but also a transnational perspective, and the ability to understand how best practice from one part of the business can be harnessed and implemented in another.I also work on an extensive client portfolio, and have a track record of developing high profile brands in the world’s most exciting real estate markets. Over the years I have advised clients on creative strategy from Los Angeles to Vladivostok and many, many points in between.
