After graduating from university with a biology degree, of course the next logical step was to start a band and tour Canada and the United States performing songs I had written, right? Well, that is what I did! It was a great experience but these days the music has taken a back seat to a career that actually allows me to feed my family and not have to worry about babysitting drunks and divas! After working in several different jobs, including reforestation, the restaurant industry, dealing in antiques, a stint as a financial advisor, and the occasional tutoring job, I finally found a good fit in managing people at Miller Waste Systems. I was fortunate to work for this great company for 11 years but had to say goodbye when my wife and I have decided to move back to British Columbia to be closer to family. I enjoyed the challenge of trying to get the most out of my employees and helping them reach their goals while always trying to maximize efficiency and productivity for my company. I miss my co-workers and the people at the City of Vaughan who I worked with so closely for so many years.Now, firmly settled back in BC, I have enjoyed learning new skills and making new friendships through working for another amazing company in Total Restoration. It has been a great experience learning about a whole new industry I knew nothing about just a few years ago. I consider myself lucky for all the experience I have gained at best restoration company in the North Okanagan!While I no longer tour the continent in a band I still love to write music and am still open to adventure. I am always on the lookout for new opportunities at work and in my personal life and embrace new challenges with enthusiasm! I look forward to meeting new people and want to continue to learn and grow. I would love to meet other like-minded people!
