Freshwater biologist with a particular passion for fish conservation, ecology and species diversity.With more than 15 years of involvement in collaborative conservation and research projects, I have conducted fieldwork in Europe, the Middle East, North Africa, Southeast Asia and the Caribbean. Since 2018, my work has been focussed at the interface between freshwater conservation science and international policy, specialising in species extinction risk assessments for the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species.I have significant experience of international engagement, project leadership and strategy, communications and the provision of technical guidance to relevant stakeholders, from non-profit organisations to scientific institutions and government agencies.
