About Matt Garten
Hello, I am Matt Garten, a born and bred Minnesotan, and I am pleased that you are taking the time to read my bio. I am not sure what I like less, writing this or dating app bios. Both give a minimal glimpse into the individual they are trying to describe. And like a dating app bio, this bio is probably never read or only skimmed over.Gifted with a great love for sports and music, I pursued both when I was younger. Upon realizing that my athletic and musical abilities were not going to get me to the big leagues or a Madison Square Garden stage, I directed my time and energy to my studies. After graduating with a degree in Political Science from Gustavus Adolphus College, I have spent the last 14 years in the golf industry mixing my love of sports with my desire to help and educate people. I believe my sales, customer service, and management experience along with my diverse education background can make me avaluable asset to any number of roles and companies. My long term goal is to be working in the music industry in the wonderful city of Nashville, Tennessee. I have spent many of my non-working hours and days over the past eight years going to shows, meeting artists and their managers, attending exclusive events at my local radio stations and getting to know their personnel (producers, personalities and program directors). Ask anyone who even remotely knows me, and they would tell you that I love, perhaps even live, music.
