My primary responsibilities of approximately 120 database servers (MSSQL, Oracle, Sybase, mySQL):
About 90% of my database servers are MS SQL (2000-2005).I am responsible for the production support and support of application developers in the Label & Artist Group. Support includes troubleshooting technical problems, aiding in the promotion of code between development, test, staging and production environments, and supporting the web services team in projects and support, as needed. I also support 6 MS Reporting Services servers.
Set up and manage access privileges to databases, and create user security profiles in accordance with security standards and policies and procedures (SOx compliance). Create, document and test critical backup plans and Disaster Recovery (DR) plans.I am also the primary DBA for a large server consolidation effort.
