As Vice President, my role involved the development and implementation of Embark’s go-to-market strategies across our Arboricultural, Pest Control, Floral, and Landscaping service lines. I also played a key role in developing our turf and plant health care programs as well as our annual plant health care service renewal program. However, my primary role at Embark was consumer and business to business sales of Arboricultural services. Specifically, I provided technical consultation regarding all facets tree preservation and maintenance. I successfully employed my consultative sales style to consistently help the organization gain market share. My experience included representing Embark in the direct sales setting as well as in our network of affiliations, tradeshows, public and radio appearances, seminar presentations, and community outreach. Our Pest Control, Interior Plantscaping, and Floral departments were also under my direct supervision. I kept these departments staffed, managed their sales and operational efforts, and was responsible for each departmental P&L.

As District Manager, I was responsible for managing the crew personnel, a sales representative, equipment, subcontractors, compliance, and daily production necessary to maintain and grow Davey’s Raleigh, North Carolina operation. In addition to my day-to-day management duties, I also contributed to the sales efforts in my territory. Selling our tree and lawn care services required me to understand and effectively apply the agronomic practices relevant to both service lines. Prior to my promotion to this position, I was a Davey Sales Representative in Houston, Texas for three years.

My experience with Bayou Tree Service began in the field as a plant health care applicator and a climber. I quickly applied my Forestry background to the care of urban trees. Once promoted to the position of Sales Representative, I was responsible for maintaining strong customer relationships as well as seeking new accounts. My natural affinity for speaking on Forestry related topics and strong desire to serve the public helped me succeed in this capacity. I proved myself to be highly self-motivated as I consistently exceeded my sales goals.

As a Forestry Parish Supervisor, my chief responsibility was to provide the landowners in a three-parish area with forest management assistance. I also served as the forestry technical advisor for multiple federal reforestation assistance programs. As LDAF's representative for the Tensas River Basin Project, I was afforded a proactive role in preserving the forested wetlands of the region. My efforts in the TRB Project included generating landowner interest in restoring forests on sites cleared for agriculture and preserving tracts that remained forested. My forest management activities included prescribed burning, timber cruising, timber marking, harvest planning, timber sale administration, and tree planting. I also generated comprehensive forest management plans for a variety of land-owners with a wide range of objectives.
