Developed and taught courses to faculty, students, and staff on use of the new online academic system. Supported faculty with editing and troubleshooting electronic legal casebooks. Conducted legal research to update and improve casebooks. Contacted publishers and authors on behalf of faculty to ensure all materials included in casebooks complied with copyright law, and both university contacts, as well as policy.

Worked with faculty as well as law librarians researching casebook material through services such as Quicklaw, Weslaw, CanLII, as well as academic journals in order to build new electronic casebooks for the coming year. Ensured material met copyright guidelines and that all necessary material would be available for the next academic year. Edited casebooks for all first year law courses, as well as a number of upper-year casebooks.

Involved in various projects including revisions and improvements to the customer ordering process. Developed and taught courses on Excel use to co-workers, which helped implement time saving workflows. Proactively tracked and managed routine customer shipments, and helped coworkers improve parts of their day to day tasks through the use of basic software automation.

Spent time living and working, as well as traveling through New Zealand. Experienced a great deal during the five months including scuba diving, swimming with sharks, swimming with dolphins, glacier hiking, surfing, and skydiving.

Worked on the Orders development team within the product, which powers the IBM business-to-consumer and business-to-business electronic stores, along with various other enterprise electronic stores. Fixed defects and worked on new features.

Supported day-to-day technical operations of the Canadian Hydrographic Service (CHS). Assisted in the administration of group Linux and Windows based servers as well as individual workstations. Provided technical support to presenters and exhibitors at the 2006 CHS Conference.

Built a survey to gauge public use of walking and biking trails located within the Halifax Regional Municipality. Setup stations at each of the trails over the summer season and administered the survey to users of the trail. Created a database containing the data for analytical work at the end of the summer season.
