Develop, support and execute Global Medical Affairs strategies, collaborate closely with Global Asset Team Leaders, Clinicians, Commercial, Health Economics & Outcomes Research, Regulatory and Publications. Lead Medical Strategy Team, working closely with Regional Medical Leads to ensure effective Medical activities throughout asset lifecycle. Chair Investigator Sponsored Research committee and establish impactful collaborative research relationships.

Responsible for the support, development and execution of US medical affairs plans including US IIRs, regional advisory boards, publications, pre-launch and launch activities, life cycle strategies and operating plans. Partner closely with global medical affairs, health economics & outcomes research, clinical development and commercial teams to develop integrated regional medical affairs plans to support Oncology assets.

Collaborated with clinicians, nurses, primary investigators and technical staff. Involved in design of trials and logistical issues in order to acquire optimum samples from relevant patients at the best time points for analysis of immuno-suppressive cells from patients registered in nation-wide clinical trials.Applied all aspects of my previous advanced training to correlate immune system changes to treatment, long-term survival and disease-free incidence.Conducted and managed several basic research projects aimed to investigate myeloid-derived suppressor cell phenotype and function in a variety of cancer patient samples including blood, lymph nodes and tumor.Optimized the design of future clinical trials through integrating basic research results with current clinical practice.

Contributed significant technical advances to improve the production and efficiency of dendritic cell-based cancer vaccines and the function of cytotoxic T lymphocyte immunotherapies.Proficient operator of state-of-the-art multi-color flow cytometry system (FACSAria).Developed skills in project management through involvement with organizing an international research collaboration between the University of Florida, USA and Tsinghua University, China.Gained hands-on research experience in Asia as a visiting scholar to a biotechnology company in Taiwan (Vectorite Biomedica Inc., Taipei) and to a clinical trial center in China (Daopei Hospital, Beijing).

Active member within a prestigious government-funded translational research program designed to expedite application of basic research to clinical therapy.Successfully acquired a highly competitive Postdoctoral Fellowship Award to support my research.Extensively used expertise in animal procedures and developed molecular biology skills to investigate the innate immune response against viral gene therapy vectors.Research discoveries included development of a cell isolation technique to purify viable neutrophils from inflamed organs, together with elucidating the mechanism by which neutrophils recognize and become activated by adenovirus vectors.Strengthened leadership and interpersonal skills through collaborative projects and supervision of students.
