Matt is a Partner based in Kiernan Trebach's Washington, D.C. office. He has nearly 20 years of experience handling various types of civil matters before both state and federal courts in Maryland and the District of Columbia.Matt regularly defends claims of serious personal injury, medical malpractice, professional liability, as well as products liability claims and contracts.Matt also represents businesses and individuals involving various civil claims stemming from breach of contract, collections, employment disputes, among other things. Matt’s hard work and dedication have earned him a reputation of achieving the best results possible for his clients in all forms of litigation.Matt graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in English from The Catholic University of America. While an undergrad, he was awarded the H.R. Franco Memorial Scholarship and was a staff writer for The Tower, Catholic University's student newspaper. He also received his Juris Doctor from The Catholic University of America, Columbus School of Law. While in law school, Matt was a member of the Moot Court Board and also practiced as a Student Attorney in the Families in the Law Clinic, where he represented indigent members of the District of Columbia, who were seeking protective orders from abuse.Matt is originally from Scranton, Pennsylvania and currently resides in Montgomery County, Maryland with his wife and two children.
