Thorough knowledge of design and operation of submarine engineering systems and nuclear power plant equipment including: heat exchangers, hydraulic plants, pneumatic systems (compressors, reducers, and actuators), steam turbines and control valves, diesel engines, lube oil systems, pumps (multi-stage centrifugal and positive displacement), valves (gate, globe, throttle), water chemistry control, electrical power generation and distribution (450V 3-phase AC & DC generators, electrical bus-work, circuit breakers and related safety tripping mechanisms) as well as plant parameter monitoring and control equipment (electronic instrumentation systems for level, pressure, temperature, flow). Occupational safety and risk management in an industrial environment. Root Cause Analysis and implementation of corrective action.
