ResearchMore than 70 publications in international journals including: The Journal of the American Chemical Society (impact factor 11.444), Dalton Transactions (4.177), Catalysis Science and Technology (5.773), New Journal of Chemistry (3.277), Antimicrobial Agents and Chemotherapy (4.302), Journal of Molecular Catalysis A: Chemical (3.958), Organometallics (4.186) and ChemElectroChem (3.975). 10 MSc and Phd students under my supervision have successfully completed their degrees. Funding secured from three main external sources: NRF, TIA and NTeMBI (Necsa) Teaching I have lectured and been the course coordinator for a range of modules from first year to honours level. I have taught general chemistry, Inorganic chemistry and specialised topics such as Group Theory, Spectroscopy and X-ray Crystallography. I have been the Head of Teaching and Learning for the School of Chemistry and Physics since February 2016. I have assisted in the development of multiple new modules in both Chemistry and Physics. I have coordinated an extensive external review of all majors offered by the School and have also served on both internal and external review panels looking at both teaching and research.
