Responsibilities:As a surveyor/assistant, I am responsible for operating a multitude of surveying equipment such as: total stations, Ground penetrating radars, radio detection kits and Scanners. Due to the nature of the work, the hours vary from day to day, with some being night shifts and others early mornings. A lot of the time I am in the public eye and must respond to members of the public who come up and question us. In certain circumstances, I have even been in people's homes to survey, so being able to be polite and respectful of others is key.

ResponsibilitiesI provide technical support for a team of teaching staff, demonstrating how to use modern theatre technology. The technology in question includes, but is not limited to: Behringer X32 producer sound desk, Cubase element/artist/pro 11, Condenser and dynamic microphones, Trantec wireless microphones, audio interfaces such as the scarlett focusrite, ETC element lighting desk and the Eos family software, typical rack units consisting of DMX splitters and amplifiers, Dimmer units, analogue sound patching, operation of projectors, global truss stage decking, Tungsten Lanterns and LED fixtures.Day to day tasks include: repair and replacement of equipment, Cubase 11 technical aid, organisation and management of rehearsal/practise rooms, updating inventory stock of stationary and equipment, recording and editing of videos, following safeguarding protocols, following and updating risk assessments, studio quality recordings for GCSE Music students and members of staff, supporting instrumental lessons and upkeep of school instruments. As of recent I have installed a new lighting design of which I programmed and visualised using the lighting visualiser “Capture”. To do this I created the room in Sketch-Up, exported it to Capture, linked it to the ETC Eos software and experimented with different fixtures. Once happy I ordered, installed, and programmed all the fixtures to work off a user-friendly Magic Sheet.
