Facilitates department and program use of institutional data to help assess and improve programs and promote student success• Provides support to departments for articulating data needs, identifying available data, contributing to data analysis, and developing systems for reporting data to departments• Maintains extensive knowledge of institutional data repositories, data definitions, data associations, and business rules• Maintains extensive knowledgebase of tools and methodologies for accessing and presenting institutional data (e.g., SQL, Power BI, Tableau, SPSS, STATA, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) • Works collaboratively and in coordination with offices that are collecting institution-wide data, maintaining institutional data systems, and submitting institutional reports to external agencies• Contributes to collection and analyses of institution-wide surveys through instruments such as Excelling at Iowa, Student Experience in the Research University (SERU), and the UI Senior Exit Survey; facilitate dissemination of findings to relevant audiences• Works with institutional leadership to develop systems that inform and support policymaking, academic program review, institutional accreditation, and planning• Designs and implement strategies for obtaining data to address assessment questions that are not fully addressed by existing institutional data• Maintains relationships with external organizations (Big 10 Networks, SERU Consortium, APLU, CIMA, AIR, etc.) to promote collaboration and best practice sharing between peer institutions

- Provided leadership and administrative oversight for the development, coordination, and management of systematic institutional research and reporting- Regularly presented institutional data to various campus bodies involved in strategic decision making and university direction- Contributed to the process of university assessment by assisting in the administration and reporting of university wide surveys (CCESSE), gathering institutional data in the form of a fact book, and creating a university student profile through the interpretation of data gathered via early intervention survey tools- Worked collaboratively with departments to identify data needs, tools and processes to assist in the gathering of data, and assists in analyzing and reporting to promote continuous improvement- Designed, conducted, and analyzed ad hoc research reports and internal surveys- Use analytical software and other programs to perform data analysis, create projections, and to describe student populations in a clear manner
