If you are in the business you know the gig. I was a Sales Engineer. Manufacturers promise the world and it was my job to make it dance. It was a new team and we were still trying to prove ourselves to the higher ups at SE. I had the Western region and I dove in. I learned so much about business development, boundaries between manufacturers and sales reps. Yeah I stepped on a few sales reps toes, sorry about that. I enjoyed getting to know so many utilities’ meter shops and networking across the industry. The best part was when I got to dive into a problem to solve. I really like helping people out so when I was able to I ate it up.

SHMEO is a non profit educational organization designed to deliver an educational experience through real life demonstrations. Maritime history plays an important role in American culture and through live action we are able to bring history alive.As a Board member I was responsible in helping raise thousands of dollars through Grants, Donations, and Fund raising.Helped plan and carry out events for the benefit of educating children, Working with city officials, school boards, and event organizers.I supervised the work of a large group of volunteers helping to carry out the organized events.

Engage in all meter related functions and activities ensuring ISO meters are constructed, operating, and in compliance according to Metering Guidelines outlined within the Metering BPM and CAISO Tariff. Assist and support internal and external customers with the understanding, execution, and implementation of metering equipment associated with the collection and processing of meter data. Ensure the timely processing and tracking of all related metering requirements and documentation associated with the New Resource Implementation Process. Ensure all ISO metered entities remain in compliance with metering standards, tariff requirements and certifications. • . Responsible for the certification, tracking, and posting of related metering activities and documents according to Metering Guidelines outlined within the Metering BPM and CAISO Tariff up through the issuance of Certificate of Compliance. Work in unison with assigned site personnel, ISO Authorized Inspectors and MDAS to ensure the accuracy and timely collection of Revenue Quality Meter Data. Coordinate and communicate with fieldwork personnel to ensure all metering requirements are met according to the metering protocols and standards.

Meter Supervisor: Oversee the metering department on the AMI project and train new employees. Currently working on an 802.11b/g and 802.11a AMI system for the U.S. Navy with networks of over 300 radios monitoring over 1000 meters. Installed metering enclosures, wire metering sockets, and integrated total communication solutions at CAISO sites as well as independent customers. Inspect and verify accuracy of customers metering design, allowing them to be a part of the California ISO power grid. Configure and install a variety of communication equipment that utilizes protocols, such as RS232, RS485, Modbus RTU, DNP, TCP/IP, and Fiber, and integrate them into stand-alone or pre-existing solutions. Install, wire, and variety CT/PT’s, including conducting burden checks Lead technician for installing poly phase metering for the CSI (California Solar Initiative) projects Installing meteorological stations string level monitoring, and intergrading unique equipment into a high volume data collecting system. Help develop and install a 900MHz radio network consisting of 35 radios that monitors 43 meters. Install and program meteorological stations with data loggers, such as Campbell Scientifics’ CR1000s to fulfill PIRP requirements. On the fly troubleshooting skills: being sent into situations where I have never seen a particular brand of equipment before and usually working alone to get the job done.
