Mr. Armstrong is a Coastal Engineer who has been involved in observation and design aspects of coastal construction projects since 2006. Mr. Armstrong completed a Masters degree in Coastal Engineering and Environmental Management in 2012 with a focus on sediment transport in bays bounded by coral reefs. Mr Armstrong continues to be actively interested in the possibilities of natural reef restoration and enhancement as a means to combat coastal erosion and flooding. His skill-set includes engineering analysis of environmental conditions, an understanding of sediment transport and coastal morphology, and the design and configuration of coastal structures. In addition to the marine works, he has experience in terrestrial based water problems such as urban drainage and surface water flow. Alongside technical analysis and design capabilities, Mr. Armstrong is experienced in fieldwork, data collection, and construction observation, especially in the Caribbean region and currently leads Baird’s Field Services Practice Area.
