It's always a bit awkward and rigid to start one of these, never can quite make them feel natural. Though I suppose this is as good a start as any!Hello and welcome to any who have found there way here, I'm Matthew. Bachelor of Biomedical Science, and current full-time student specializing in immunohaematology during my Master of Biomedical Science.Beyond academia, I've also found a comfortable part-time career in voice acting, performance, and narration. Nothing major, admittedly, and it's often students in the field of media, film, design, etc. who put forward commissions. Occasionally I have offered my services to small businesses, who have appreciated a narrative voice they described as 'Friendly, comforting, and clear'.There is a personal goal to deliver the highest quality I'm capable of in all the work I produce; be it a report, an essay, or line delivery from a script. Consistently I've found myself remaking and rebuilding my work from the ground up if I was dissatisfied with the end product. It has taken a long time, though, to understand and appreciate that while absolute perfection is a pipe dream, aiming high always leaves results you can be proud of; a lesson I value greatly.While a focus on detail and 'perfectionism' might normally clash in a group setting, I instead find that I work very well with others. An appreciation and respect for other people, their time, and their work further focuses me on both the team's goals and my own productivity. This melds well with my fairly personable disposition (well, at least, I'd hope!) and goal to approach a problem from the angle of others to understand their need. A skill that I improved vastly during my year's work as an assistant Divemaster. You might be surprised of the sorts that you meet when they're mad enough to swim 40 meters beneath the sea, but it certainly helps to teach you how to engage in an amiable manner with a great variety of people.I am excited and eager to engage in most of my work, as I've been lucky enough to find areas I both enjoy and can excel in. Many friends have been the unfortunate victim of an impromptu lecture on HCMV, rare blood types, and other various topics. Sadly, however, I am told that giving them in a Mickey Mouse voice does, in fact, make it worse. Though even beyond that, I find myself driven and restless. If I'm going to set out to do something, I want to be immersed in it. I want to excel at it. I want it to be something I can say I'm proud of.A genuine thanks for your time, and I hope to engage further with you after connecting.
