As an intern I spent the majority of my time working alongside the strength and conditioning coach to assist in warm ups, running drills and conducting exercise programs consisting of exercises focusing on strength and mobility for the Northern Knights football squad.• Communicated effectively with the Northern Knights Strength and conditioning coach, developing trust and strong coherence between one another• Worked alongside another intern, we ran exercise programs for athletes recovering from injuries • Corrected players when exercises were performed incorrectly and provided assistance and cues to help reduce the likelihood of injuries• Had a healthy list of players to choose from for selection throughout the season and all players who had been injured had no setbacks and progressed soundly from their respective injuries

This internship involved me conducting exercise programs for clients that were assigned to me by the Allied Health Professional (AHP). These fitness classes would consist of rehabilitation and/ or fitness training tailored towards the individual clients specific goals and current ability• Able to demonstrate competence regarding client screening and risk stratification, exercise program design, exercise program delivery both one-on-one with clients, and in a group setting, and exercise program modification/evaluation• I engaged and interacted with clients comfortably in a professional manner, building and developing rapport with them by showing interest in their health, rehabilitation and lives• Effectively communicated with clients from diverse origins in professional settings and comprehended challenges related to cultural and social diversity• Demonstrated the ability to write well written and structured documentation of Subjective, Objective, Assessment and Plan (SOAP) notes after each clients session which are thorough and easy to evaluate
