Conduct technical engineering evaluations on potential aircraft FAA PMA (Parts Manufacturer Approval) parts to be used by American Airlines. Review comprehensive part data packages and drawings to ensure proper design and specification, and coordinate with fleet and shop engineering, crew chiefs, and mechanics to conduct fit, functional or bench checks on all potential parts and evaluate part performance.Experience evaluating parts for use in variety of aircraft ATA’s (Landing Gear, Engine, Interiors, Hydraulic Power, Lights, Fuel Tank, Air Condition, Structures, etc.).Write and review aircraft maintenance instruction for use in Aircraft Maintenance Manuals and Work Cards, or for completion of functional testing of aircraft parts.
