As the Process and Launch Engineer, I work closely with a cross-functional team in control of airbag initiator production and manufacturing. I have gained ownership of manufacturing production processes and equipment, and I am responsible for design, build, and overseeing production manufacturing equipment. I work closely with manufacturing facility quality engineers and automation engineers to ensure production and delivery of reliable and high-quality lifesaving devices.I maintain many of the Launch Engineer responsibilities previously held, acting as the lead project management for new product launches, collaborating closely with technical design facility to ensure efficient and effective product launches. I am regularly involved in project planning and management with global change management for airbag initiators.

As the Launch and Development Engineer, I work with a cross-functional team for initiator development and launch, the primary deployment device in airbags and seatbelt safety systems. From new product concepts through to successful manufacturing production implementation, I coordinate closely with both the initiator manufacturing facility and the technical design facility. At the manufacturing facility, I am the lead project manager for new product launches, where organization and project management skills, paired with a strong understanding of all steps of the project and processes, are key. I am involved in project planning and management with upper-level management and global change boards for airbag initiator launches. At the technical design facility, I uptake testing, prototyping, and R&D responsibilities for airbag initiator product and process development. The product and process development testing conducted at the technical facility requires a very high level of quality and refinement to ensure product and process robustness and reliability, and the best implementation at the manufacturing facility.
