Permanent Employee, main duties include machining large Titanium plate for Rolls Royce, Airbus and other aerospace customers.Also machining various types of smaller plate for Rolls Royce Trent 1000, XWB and Trent 700 engines. Always ensuring that plate dimensions and quality adhere to customer requirements, on both 3 axis Large bed Millers and smaller duplex Milling machines. Some knowledge of Heidenhain measurement controls and also preliminary training on 5 axis Elga large bed miller has been aquired. Also trained in the rolling of Titanium bar of various diameters and also tasked with cutting and preparing of Titanium bar of different grades for further processing. Cutting Macro samples from bars when required to do so by the test lab to ensure quality of material.Reeling (straightening) of processed rolled bars to allow further finishing and processing by customers in plant, ie: grinding, peeling polishing.

Ensuring Cast rod is within customer tolerance for both diameter and length.Cast rod is checked for straightness.All burrs are removed and ends ground flat on rod prior to processing by the dispatch department.Assisting Foundry Operators with mould and furnace charge preparation.Awareness of Health and Safety work practices at all times.

Promoted to grade 4 CNC machine operator for completing Ford IMS (Integrated Manufacturing Specialist) training course. On the job CNC machine operation training of new employees. CNC Machining of gear sub assembly parts.Testing and quality checking of matched gear sets to Ford technical Specifications.Assembly of many different rear axle products for Ford and Jaguar.CNC Machining of many vehicle Disc and drum parts for Ford and Volvo.Awareness of Health and Safety work practices at all times.
