I have extensive clinical experience working with a variety of psychiatric and addiction disorders, patient populations, and levels of acuity in different settings. My 20+ years in the mental heath field allowed me to gain extensive experience working with a continuum of care, including inpatient, intensive outpatient and community outpatient programs. As a Behavioral Health-Clinical Coordinator at AdventHealth-Shawnee Mission, I work as needed at the hospital inpatient Mental Health Unit (MHU) and the Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) office. My primary duties on the MHU include completing psychosocial clinical assessments and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and family members to help monitor a patient's treatment progress and develop/implement a comprehensive discharge plan. My primary duties at the IOP include providing individual, group and family therapies; conducting psychiatric assessment, treatment planning and documentation and crisis intervention services.
