I spent 3 years working for Consumers Energy as an electrical design engineer. I learned a lot about communities, systems, and power and this position surprisingly helped me a lot when I transitioned to higher education. I currently work for Western Michigan University as a program coordinator directly helping 2500+ students transition into the university each year. This includes domestic, international, transfer, and adult students. I also own a small company named Project Embrace, that focuses on drone photography and carpentry projects. My goal is to grow the business enough to establish a non-profit that works with the homeless population and helps them register to vote. Long term, I would like to become a county commissioner in Kalamazoo County, MI. I spend free time working on my business or substitute teaching in middle & high schools to get a better understanding of how the education system works. I'm really passionate about ensuring others have what they need to thrive in life.
