I am a recent graduate of the biological engineering program at Wentworth Institute of Technology with a minor in chemistry.I have a firm understanding of the experimental and engineering design process, a strong attention to detail, and am practiced in the realm of data analysis.I am currently employed as a Research Associate at Umass Chan Medical School, where I contribute to our lab's efforts to develop novel antibodies and nanobodies to target diseases of public health importance. In total I have a combined total of 23 months of professsional experience within a lab setting.At the moment im currently open to discussing next steps as I continue on my career development path. I aim to continue to carve out my career as an R&D scientist, however I'm also open to expanding my skillset by potentially pivoting into the more biomedical side of my degree and current technical skills in an industrial setting. I hope this introduction gives a good framework of my career goals, I would be delighted to connect with any professionals in the field in the greater Massachusetts region, and if there are any folks aspiring to enter into the biotech sector I'd also welcome a chat.Some of my non-work related hobbies include Brazilian Ju Jitsu, Gardening, Guitar & Piano, Olympic Weightlifting, Snowboarding, Hiking, Woodworking, and 3D Printing.

Current projects primarily involve identifying new antibody targets for clinical development. Projects I am currently contributing towards include: Enterotoxigenic e. coli (ETEC), Borrelia burgdorferi (Lyme Disease), and COVID.Job Related Skills and Achievements to Date:➣Generated positive hybridoma cell lines via immunological boosting and infection within the context of a mouse model, followed by B cell isolation, and subsequent fusions with immortal cell lines.➣Maintained and then subsequently transformed & transfected both transient and stable cell lines at various scales, ranging from 200uL to multiple 3 Liter cultures, to produce project related proteins➣Purified diverse groups of proteins using chromatographic methods such as Affinity, SEC & HPLC ➣Utilized RNA pellets from positive hybridoma cell lines to generate complementary DNA (cDNA) corresponding to the constant region of their antibody sequences, facilitating the characterization of the novel variable regions of the newly produced antibodies.➣Executed multiple IACUC protocols, such as gut colonization assays and systemic exposure studies to generate in vivo data for lead antibodies➣Generated growth curves using optical density (OD) to objectively measure, and approximate bacterial cell counts, enabling precise and repeatable dosing to assess antibody efficacy across a range of concentrations.➣Acted as the lab's primary purchaser and requisitioner, managing the procurement and maintenance of general lab supplies, project-specific materials, and animal orders to ensure timely execution of experimental protocols and research objectives➣Onboarded and trained multiple colleagues, including colleagues just starting their careers in science as well as more senior members transitioning to new roles -
