1. Day to day management of the operations department staff to include the following: • interviewing and hiring of qualified personnel • training and/or cross-training personnel on standard manufacturing procedures that achieve safety, delivery, cost and quality goals and maintain records of training efforts • effective employee relations and motivation that foster a positive work environment• scheduling production to consistently meet product delivery requirements and ensure smooth workflow through the department and • consistent application of HR policies and procedures.2. Ensure customer order fulfillment is achieved through use of effective planning and scheduling systems to include the following: • accurate production, quality and cost records are maintained and used to educate / motivate employees to achieve higher standards• effective techniques are used to prioritize order fulfillment requirements; initiate flow improvement efforts, set-up reduction and cross-training of employees which accomplish lead time reduction and the ability to reduce lot sizes • continual improvement efforts to maximize output at all bottleneck operations• ensure that proper materials and supplies are available to achieve the departments production requirements; develop and maintain relationships with all key suppliers to ensure highest level of value for consumable materials • conduct regular audits to ensure staff and systems are achieving objectives.3. Serve the department and assigned operations employees as a technical resource for identifying and resolving problems associated with the product group that has been assigned to include the following:• If problems are outside the supervisor’s area of expertise, ensure the proper expertise is located and determine availability to attend to the problem. • At all times, the supervisor is responsible for monitoring progress toward resolving the problem.

1) Time study-operational analysis2) Cost analysis3) Evaluate and recommend latest state of art in manufacturing technology4) Work with manufacturing on improving methods5) CNC programming by CAD/CAM and manual means.6) Investigate and resolve complaints originating in manufacturing relative to routing information, rates, etc.7) Assist with plant layout of machines for cell concepts in association with workflow.8) Monitor ATIBS performance for better opportunities for growth.9) Keep abreast of ANSI/ ISO, ASTM Standards and industry standard practice.10) Work with Vendors to assure latest tooling technology is being deployed.
