I completed my third and final part-time placement to achieve my mandatory hours required to completed my Masters of Clinical Exercise Physiology at both Liverpool and Campbelltown Optimum Health Solutions clinics. During this placement experience I was exposed to many clients with range of chronic conditions and injuries that were musculoskeletal, neurological, rheumatological, metabolic and cardiac. Additionally, I was exposed to the many types of referrals and insurance schemes that allow these clients to access exercise intervention. Resultantly, I was able to further expand my knowledge of AEP scope of practice, improve my clinical skills, and successfully attempt initial assessments and report writing.

Penshurst, New South Wales, Australia

I completed my second part-time placement to achieve my mandatory hours required to completed my Masters of Clinical Exercise Physiology at the Penshurst Cerebral Palsy Alliance clinic. During this placement experience I was fortunate to work with a variety of individuals that presented with complex neurological conditions and other disabilities under NDIS services. I was exposed to both adult and paediatric populations which was an amazing challenge I thoroughly enjoyed. In this time, I was also fortunate to work alongside many other allied health professionals in a multi-disciplinary setting. From my experience, I have learnt the importance of goal-setting, advocacy for clients, and the importance of case conferencing and collaboration for the best rehabilitative outcomes.

I completed my first full-time placement to achieve my mandatory hours required to completed my Masters of Clinical Exercise Physiology at the St Peters NeuroMoves clinic. During this placement experience I was fortunate to work with individuals that presented with a variety of neurological conditions, providing exercise intervention through activity-based therapy and hydrotherapy with supervision. I was able to build upon my clinical skills by incorporating creativity in my exercise prescription and delivery to facilitate client's in reaching their functional therapy goals through a client-centred approach. Additionally, I was exposed to incredible assistive technology that was used to help achieve the functional goals of clients.
