Division Director Overseeing the Operations Division including: Patrol Section, Criminal Investigations Section, Support Operations Section, and Special Operations Group.

Oversee the Patrol Section to include the Support Operations Section. Overall Commander for all uniformed sworn and non-sworn personnel assigned to the division. Reports to the Deputy Chief of Operations.

Responsible for internal police department personnel investigations pertaining to alleged violations regarding policy, state law, federal law and constitutional rights. Work to review and update departmental policy as needed maintaining the highest professional standard.

Shift Commander. Responsibilities included scheduling, performance evaluations, critical incident command, alleged policy violations and discipline, monthly/quarterly/yearly reports, operational planning, training etc. Developed the Police Sergeant Field Training Program and in-depth training regarding proper completion of offense incident documents and brought the Ride Along policy up to date with national standards.

Direct supervision of detectives assigned to the Property Crimes Unit and later the Narcotics Unit. Supervised personnel both in-house and assigned to the Regional Drug Task Force. Achieved the lowest number of residential burglaries while in command of the Property Crimes Unit. Worked closely with DEA and FBI targeting drug traffickers. Worked alongside others to update the departments Property Crime Unit policy, Narcotics Unit policy (specifically regarding confidential informant management and controlled buys) and developed the Bait Car policy. I was a member of the Detective Test Board and helped to bring the written/oral test up to date with current practices.

While assigned as a detective, began in the Property Crimes Unit and later assisted in reinitiating the in-house Narcotics Unit. Was eventually assigned to the DEA Drug Task Force and was a sworn federal task force agent. Had the opportunity to prosecute criminal cases at both the federal and state levels and later used this knowledge to draft an in-house narcotics policy inline with federal and national practice.

While assigned to the SWAT team attended and passed basic SWAT school. Acted as an entry team member in various capacities and worked alongside fellow teammates in high risk, specialized situations deemed appropriate by command staff.

Began at the Santa Fe Police Department as a Police Officer. Was later promoted to the field training officer position. Trained new officers and prepared them for the end of program final test. Used the San Jose Model regarding field training and assisted in management of junior field training officers.
