About Matthew Cihlar
I am a Rice student with a primary interest in large scale optimization and machine learning. My primary research interests involve deep learning, distributed/high performance computing, stochastic optimization, and network regression. Current projects include investigating Gromov-Wasserstein distances for network regression and coding a parallel graph processing library.I have also long been interested in metaphysics and philosophy more broadly, which has underpinned the critical thinking I apply to my STEM interests and career goals.
