Includes research and development of organic rankine cycle generation technology in partnership with the University of Newcastle and the Federal Government's Trailblazer Recycling and Clean Energy (TRaCE) funding program.- Project Boomerang: Acquisition of a US-based 16mmscf/day gas field and processing plant.- Maintaining a M&A Opportunities Pipeline: A key element of Northstar's strategy is replication of the EEH model, diversified geographically through acquisition.- Stakeholder engagement and communications: With government bodies, indigenous groups, community groups, landowners, councils, etc.- Investor Relations and ASX Listing: To realise shareholder value, Northstar Energy are preparing to list on the ASX.

Reporting to the Group CEO, I was responsible for:- Development, establishment and operation of a new business unit – GD Energy Services.- Detailed strategic analysis to identify GDES’ source of sustained competitive advantage. This was distilled into a robust strategic plan; a road map for developing the business.- Leveraged extensive industry networks to gain stakeholder investment and commercial viability of new technology.- Established detailed governance mechanisms and ICT systems to analyse, evaluate and improve performance under a ‘Resource Dependent’ governance philosophy which underpinned the GDES board charter.- In the 1st year, GDES exceeded its HSEC, financial, marketing, business development, supply, HR and governance KPIs.- Acted as Project Director for group engineering & construction projects where he engaged with clients at an executive level to provide direction and oversight on matters of program strategy and governance.

Reporting to the Head of Business Development; and the Head of Resource Planning and Development, I was responsible for:- Statutory Safety Performance: Assumed joint 'gas mine' Senior Site Executive (SSE) and 'Operator' statutory safety obligations under both mining and gas legislation. Included developing and implementing a bi-lateral legislative compliant system and methodolgy to develop coal seam gas resources on Queensland coal mining tenements.- Strategic planning and risk management: Established a new gas drainainge and commercialisation operation / organisation within BHP's Queensland coal mining business.- Overlapping Tenure Management: Represented BHP in negotiations with overlapping tenure (gas) counter-parties and contributed to the (QRC-facilitated) overlapping tenure white paper working group and eventual presentation to government and industry and drafting of the Mineral and Energy Resources (Common Provisions) Act 2014.- Gas Reserve Certification: Analysis, appraisal and 2C 'Best Estimate' certification of gas resources residing within BHP's Queensland coal tenements.- Gas Commercialisation: Established non-binding MoU's and HoA's for future gas offtakes.- Investment Evaluation: Compiled and presented several risk-weighted financial and economic models for investment decision.- Operations Management: Full HSEQ, P&L, cost, schedule and risk oversight of gas exploration, geological appriasal, reservoir engineering, production engineering, field development planning, drilling, completions and surface facilities operation.- Project Management: Full lifecycle planning, control and execution of approvals, design, contracting, procurement, drilling, completions, construction and commissioning of BHP's first Queensland coal mine gas pre-drainage program / infrastructure.- Study Management: Gas drainage and commercialisation strategy, operational, technical, execution, financial and risk inputs into 2 multi-billion $ underground mine complexes.
