Soon after that realization, he made his move in to the industry; to run an Ottawa based hair company and immerse himself in the challenges this “wild west” industry brought with it. During his time in the field of hair and beauty, Matt has managed, operated and co-founded barbering and salon companies, influencing everything from corporate mission and marketing strategy, to recruiting and operations. Developed strategic partnerships with companies such as Shopify, The Ottawa Senators, La Bottega Nicastro, OCSL, Toys’r’us, Frank & Oak, Toy Mountain, Beau’s Brewing, etc. Helped organize charity events that raised over $100,000 in charitable donations. At the end of the day Matt see’s himself as a firefighter; thriving in situations of challenge. He believes that every business challenge creates an opportunity and his mission is to help entrepreneurs identify the opportunities that their obstacles create and devise a strategy so they can own their success. Using his past experience to bring fresh eyes to any problem and find creative solutions.
