Undertaking seats in Litigation, Corporate/Company Commercial and Commercial Property, as well as assisting with Intellectual Property, Construction, Employment, Wills and Probate and Residential Property matters.

Supporting Trainees, Associates, Managing Associates and Partners on a wide variety of Corporate (M&A, divestitures, restructures), Commercial, Banking, Litigation and Real Estate matters as well as working at a trio of the firm’s clients' in Leeds, Herts and London (City) on secondment.

Responsibilities included undertaking the review, negotiation and drafting of a plethora of contracts types (within the oil and gas, power, infrastructure, chemical, life sciences and rail sectors worldwide), including the following: -•Commercial contracts with the company’s clients’ which span from major blue chip companies to contracts for services entered into by contractors/Limited Company professionals;•Procurement/suppliers contracts that NES Group entered into as a business in the UK and across the world; •Insurance contracts entered into by the company;•Liaising with and reporting key risks to my internal clients and discussing the best method and manner of delivering communications back to our external clients.Providing practical solutions to the risks associated with each of the above, including considering aspects of employment and taxation law, to ensure such agreements were formed on a sound legal and commercial basis and protect the interests of the company, its clients and stakeholders. Insurance: -Ensuring appropriate insurances were in place in order to mitigate various risks; liaising with brokers and insurers to ensure risks were sufficiently covered under the relevant insurance policy;Handling insurance matters associated with the NES UK Ops businesses including Employers’ Liability, Public Liability and Professional Indemnity as well as advising on the need for any such insurances, including medical, for personnel placed globally.Liaising with and assisting in-house and external solicitors with civil/commercial litigation matters.Due diligence (various).

Assisting fee earners in the Large Loss/Catastrophic Injury department with tasks such as organising court bundles, errands to court etc. as well as helping with credit control function.
