Responsible for the testing and certification of the A350 aircraft for lightning strike direct effects.

Integration engineer responsible for materials and processes for the A350-1000 wing.

Technical and project leader for a 4.5M€ multi-disciplinary research and development programme to develop new lightning strike coatings and test methods for the A350-1000 wing.- Project led from development of initial concepts to delivery of technology solution - Responsible for development of project scope and planning to secure €3M of launch funding (including government technology development funding)- Responsible for all technical and project management decisions - Successful management of €2M of engineering services subcontracting to deliver on time and to quality and cost targets- Successful on-time design, manufacture and test of €1.75M test programme

Materials and Process Integration engineer, providing embedded support to design teams focusing on design to cost and materials down-selection. I was also responsible for the development and use of out of autoclave materials for new short range aircraft.I also worked in the composite materials and processes department, working on the development of new processes and the qualification of new materials.

I performed a range of roles beginning with a 2 year graduate training programme with increasing responsibility covering technical, commercial and project management disciplines.This included transnational working incorporating a 4 month period in Hamburg providing engineering support to aircraft final assembly and a 4 month period in Hawker De Havilland Sydney providing remote engineering support.My main focus was in materials and processes, providing integration support to structures and systems design teams.

Industrial placement working as part of the process engineering group responsible for glass production. Activities involved daily production management duties and problem solving, focusing on furnace operation, process optimisation and product quality. Technical projects focused on gas flow, furnace structure damage monitoring and large-scale furnace repair.
