I am a Mechanical Engineering graduate from California State University, Northridge. My goal as an engineer is to be involved in the growth of the themed entertainment industry, creating new experiences for guests and to develop innovative new ride systems to help further the art of immersive storytelling.My experience in the civil engineering field has given me valuable knowledge of the engineering design process for large scale projects; from communication between fellow engineers, across disciplines, and contractors, to the creation of CAD drawings within Autodesk Civil3D, to final delivery.CSUN has given me experience in programs such as SolidWorks, MATLAB, and LabVIEW. The creation of a Human Powered Vehicle for my Senior Design Project allowed me to become comfortable in designing for a single project that is split up between different teams, as well as doing so remotely due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The Innovation Team's development of an Adjustable Seat for a team used Recumbent Bike allowed us to land a spot in the Top 5 positions of the worldwide ASME Innovation Virtual Competition. Extracurricular haunted attraction design competitions have given the chance to learn other CAD programs such as Rhinoceros3D, SketchUp, and LayOut.My time as a Ride Operator at Knott's Berry Farm and a Front Desk Concierge during the Disney College Program has given me an invaluable opportunity to hear first hand from guests exactly how they feel about their theme park experiences. As someone looking to help make their mark on this industry, guest feedback is extremely important to me, and has helped to tailor my design philosophies as I move forward in my career.
