About Matthew Currin

Matthew Currin is a speaker, trainer, life coach, creator and founder of Convene Communities, retired Marine Corps Helicopter Pilot, former helicopter EMS Pilot, and current Bell 427 and G280 pilot for Team Penske NASCAR pilot and Penske Corporation. Matthew Currin is the president and founder of Convene Communities, LLC. Convene encompasses MatthewCurrin.com, ConveneCommunities.com, ConveneTraining.com and the Convene Application.I spent 14 years in the USMC as an aviator flying the V-22 Osprey and the CH-46E. During my career in the Marine Corps I became a Weapons and Tactics Instructor by attending MAWTS-1 in Yuma, Arizona. While I was flying the CH-46E I deployed in support of Operation Allied Force in Kosovo, and was one of the first 'conventional' forces to deploy to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. After completing that tour I became a flight school instructor in Pensacola, FL. I ended my military career flying the V-22 Osprey at MCAS New River before being medically retired in 2007. While in VMMT-204 I was fortunate enough to start a Training Transformation Program for Marine Corps Aviation. I spent over 5 years as a Helicopter EMS pilot flying for Wake Forest Baptist Hospital. I flew over 650+ patient flights during this time period. Today, I am a pilot for the Penske NASCAR and Indy team. I am a public speaker, corporate trainer that focuses on the importance of Time Critical Decision Making and the 'Transfer of Experience and Knowledge.'Specialties: Seminar Speaking, Keynote Speeches, Training and development of Training Programs.
