I have spent most of my career in supply chain roles at diversified industrials, such as Danaher, Colfax, and Fortive. I am currently a Sourcing Manager at Advanced Sterilization Products (ASP), a medical devices subsidiary of Fortive.I started with Danaher, the former parent company of Fortive, in 2013. As a Master Scheduler for a dental product subsidiary, I implemented a level-loading production plan that improved net inventory by one full turn and reduced past due sales orders by 97%. In 2015, I transferred to another subsidiary to manage a planning team and had similar results: Inventory declined for the first time in company history and past due sales orders declined 99%. In 2017, I joined Teletrac Navman (TN) to oversee the global logistics program. TN was a telematics software-as-a-service (SaaS) subsidiary of Fortive. In 2018, Fortive announced the acquisition of ASP from Johnson & Johnson for $2.8b. I was part of the procurement integration team. In August 2019, I left Fortive to be a full-time graduate student at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).After graduating from MIT in 2020, I joined Colfax Corporation’s General Management Development Program. Colfax employed 16,200 people, with approximately 80% of them outside the U.S., and generated sales of $3.8b in 2021, but split into two independent companies, Enovis and ESAB, in early 2022.I obtained a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Redlands Global Business Program in 2011, graduating magna cum laude with department honors. My academic advisor was Professor Jack Osborn, the Hunsaker Chair in Management. Beginning in my sophomore year, I spent 15 months at the Beijing Foreign Studies University (BFSU) in a Mandarin immersion program. While working for Danaher, I spent six weeks in Denmark taking graduate-level courses in supply chain finance and managerial accounting at the Copenhagen Business School (CBS) but continued to lead my team remotely in California. At MIT, I wrote my thesis on the relationship between payment terms and lead times, advised by Jim Rice, Deputy Director of the Center for Transportation & Logistics.To maintain my Mandarin proficiency, I translate books by Professor Weiying Zhang, formerly the Dean of Peking University’s business school.
