Conduct task and plant risk assessments, Work closely with site managers and engineers to ensure new plant and equipment is safely integrated into the business model.Undertake review of plant and task risk assessments and maintain safety records including site inspections, safety observations, incident, hazards and near misses.

Work closely with all stakeholders and staff to improve the health, safety and well-being of all. Monitor activities of the manufacturing facilities (x4 across Australia) with additional 21 branches nationally to ensure compliance to health and safety policy and procedure. Conduct routine audits and inspections across all manufacturing facilities and branches within Australia to identify opportunity for improvement of health and safety performance. Responsible for the development of suitable duty plans, workers compensation and rehabilitation of injured workers nationally. Work collaboratively with all stakeholders and staff to achieve and exceed safety performance of the business across its manufacturing and distribution centers nationally. Development of annual training plans, training material, resources and facilitate and coordinate training for staff to foster and improve the culture of safety throughout the business to improve awareness and improve the skill base of employees in OH&S performance. Development of Safe Work Proceedures for the manaufacturing facilities, develop HRCW SWMS's for contractors and subcontractors nationally.

Carole Park Qld - Derrimut Vic

Oversee the implementation of the business's safety management system through consultation with all stake holders and its employees. Assist with the development and training of safe work procedures, J.S.A's and risk assessments. Perform essential duties as operational Fire Safety Adviser and Radiation Safety Officer for the business and ensure compliance to regulatory requirements. Assist in the development of the safety team by providing guidance and advice on risk assessment and general safety to develop consistent SWMS and JSA's, and improve risk management. Work closely with the Group Workplace Health and Safety Manager and business stake holders to achieve key safety objectives. Perform facility inspections across N.S.W, W.A and Auckland and undertake audits in line with business requirements under its AS 4801, AS/NZS 18001 requirements. Review and updating of emergency response plans for these facilities and providing emergency and first response training and instruction to staff. Undertake a detailed Training Needs Analysis of the business unit and develop yearly training plans for employees to meet the requirements of the business and ensure timely, efficient and effective delivery.

Promote occupational health and safety within an organisation and develop safer and healthier ways of working. Develop occupational health and safety systems, including policies, procedures and manuals. Communicate frequently with management to report on the status of occupational health and safety programs. Development of a training matrix and conduct training sessions for management, supervisors and workers on appropriate health and safety topics to improve the safety performance of the teams. Record and report hazards, accidents, injuries and health issues within the workplace. Lead investigation's of accidents and unsafe working conditions, study possible causes and recommend remedial action. Ensure that the organisation is aware of, and complies with, all legislation relating to its duty of care, workplace activities and the use of its plant, equipment and substances. Ensure the organisation complies with its Environmental Management System. Control compliance of fire safety installations and conduct training in emergency evacuation and the use of fire fighting equipment. Conduct work place inspections and audits and report to management the findings of the inspections.

Assist with coordinating activities of the S.H.E.Q compliance team. Monitor production and maintenance activities and ensure compliance to Tyco's S.H.E.Q policies and procedures.Perform inspections and audits in line with Tyco's internal audit program. Complete weekly / monthly O.S.H.A reports. Oversee the timely and accurate preparation of safe work procedures to meet the requirements for the annual major planned shut down of the pipe manufacturing facility.

Mulgowie

Oversea the safety of Mulgowie Farming Company employees covering QLD, N.S.W and Victoria. Conduct workplace inspections and audits of production facilities and report to the Directors of the business the status of safety within those facilities. Undertake safety toolbox talks with staff and conduct W.H&S inductions for new employees and contractors. Ensure P.P.E was available and being used. Investigate incidents, identify root cause and provide remedial actions and solutions to prevent re-occurrence. Ensure long haul drivers attained Driver Fatigue Management certification and complied with operational conditions. Auditing driver log books and undertake random drug and alcohol testing inline with the company A&OD policy and procedures.
