Matt DeGregorio is an outgoing and determined individual who is an award winning sports anchor/reporter currently working at WLOX. Using his immense sports knowledge and broadcast skills, he anchors, produces, reports, and MMJ's sports coverage across the Gulf Coast. His day to day varies from coverage of the New Orleans Saints, Pelicans, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Southern Miss, LSU, Biloxi Shuckers, Mississippi Sea Wolves (hockey), and local sports. DeGregorio, 24, is a B.A. recipient in Sports Broadcasting from Palm Beach Atlantic University. He oversaw daily scheduling as the lead producer at the Sailfish Sports Network, while also hosting weekly shows. Additionally, he was the play-by-play voice for the Sailfish Sports Network and Sunshine State Conference Digital Network. DeGregorio also spent time as the play-by-play voice for the Miami Dutch Lions of the NPSL and a freelance play-by-play voice for the USL.Using his storytelling ability, unique content creation, and anchor/reporting skills, DeGregorio provides a youthful energy to every broadcast while also informing the public on the latest sports news. He is the 2023 MAB winner for best sports story in the state of Mississippi and is a current Heisman voter.
