Full-time and part-time roles as a classroom teacher at various high schools in Western Sydney

Taught young women from Years 7-12 in History, Modern History and the Humanities (HSIE). Successfully guided my home class and two Modern History classes through the challenges of the NSW Higher School Certificate. Worked cohesively as part of a dedicated and holistic teaching staff.

Successfully adapted to the challenges of living and working in a developing country; Taught ESL and History to Ethiopian teenage students.

Delivered ESL classes to first-year undergraduate students from a non-English speaking background.

As a part-time officer in the RAN (Reserve) I worked on a variety of matters including Personnel issues at a major training base in Victoria (HMAS CEBERUS). I performed legal duties including member interactions with civilian law (including criminal and family law as well as estate planning), and I delivered education seminars concerning member responsibilities as part of on-sea operations.I also worked a 4 months role as a Legal Officer at National HQ in Canberra where I oversaw the legal requirements of a television series with an impact on the organisation's public profile.I also worked numerous short-term roles at Maritime HQ in Sydney where I worked on various matters including the writing of legal reports for senior commanders on legal matters and implications stemming from different incidents involving RAN personnel.

Worked diligently to collate, consolidate and catalogue the many historical records of this 140-year old gentleman's club.

Worked as an academic tutor to university students as we examined early European History. Developed my pedagogical skills and historical understanding as well as the clarity of my communication skills. Conducted tutorials, led discussions, marked research papers and performed many administrative tasks.
