Roustabout position is responsible for supporting the oil and gas operations. The position is diverse and may vary on a daily basis .Some duties include Banksman/Slinger.Crane lifting/moving containers . Lifting equipment/work Baskets from Boats and Ships alongside the rig with the Crane.Working and communicating the standby boats.Working as a teamSupplying Drill floor with Equipment.Radio communication.Fire fighting and rescue.Helicopter and emergency landing crew.Erecting scaffold.Driving a folk lift.Working with all types of chemicals.Confined space work.Working at height.Health and safety.Permits/risk assessments/method statements.Maintenance to all rig equipment.Working with all Rig trades/service trades.Working on the drill floor with the ruff necksDig pits and lines.General cleanup.General maintenance and painting .Clean up oil spills. Tools including air and electrical.

Working with Enermech (Total reclaim systems) my duties are to manage my team to clean and wash OBM (Oil Based Mud), and various other Solids, liquids and Chemicals out of a variety of Storage Tanks, Voids and Confined spaces, we clean everything from all areas on and under the rig floor down to the Mud storage areas and pits, We also monitor for different types of Gas including H2s. The filling out of Permits, risk assessments, Tool box talks, Jsa’s, everything involved in the Permit to work scheme, following the rules are and maintaining a safe working environment are a big part of what I do.

During my time with this company my work duties were.Slab laying ,House and road Drainage, Drives, Block paving, ducting for House services i.e water gas electric, Brittish telecom,concreting and much more this trade taught me alot about the construction industry an was a very big part in my mind state for work .

I formed this company with a business partner, my duties were to oversee the day to day running of the company including hiring and also on occasions, firing, also on site overseeing that all works were to be carried out in a safe productive manner and always to the highest standards, I also had to look after our own machinery making sure they were up to date, safe an operational for the requirements for everyday use. A main part of my work was to meet and greet clients, look after stock making sure we had the right materials for the different jobs involved and the right amounts this could mean ringing the required companies to keep on top of the best prices and delivery dates and if there was any problems with what was ordered to talk to the right people to resolve any situation also making decisions in meetings on work to be carried out an to fix any problems that was put before us from our clients. Unfortunately, our main client suspended contracts with all 3rd party contractors and due to recession but because i had built a good working relationship with our main client i was able to continue work for them as an employee
