Proud educator. @mduffy_ everywhere Duffy is a Senior Community Strategist with Ogilvy, currently tasked with developing and leading community- and social-first engagement initiatives for The Coca-Cola Company. As an adjunct professor at the University of Florida, Duffy has exercised his subject matter expertise in online community building with 75+ graduate students (so far), teaching COM6565: Social Media Community Management. This passion led him to travel to Costa Rica and pursue his TEFL/TESOL Certification, where he learned the necessary skills to teach ESL and EFL students of all ages across the globe. During his time at Meta Platforms Inc., Duffy developed the YA Power Admin program, Facebook's invite-only program for FB Group Admins in their 20s and early 30s who lead diverse and engaging Facebook Groups. As the community manager, he focused on supporting community builders of the future and served as the liaison between product teams and consumer feedback. While earning his M.A. in mass communications in digital strategy through the UF CJC Online graduate program, Duffy found his passion for community leadership and management skills by recruiting 200K+ individuals to his online community, Born Zillennial. As the creator, he manages a team of 10+ people across various platforms and is focused on the planning, development, and execution of community-specific content.
