Supported the Data Team as the company prepared to cover every race in the country for 2020 with the goal of reaching 50 million voters. Coordinated the collection, analysis, and summarization of every statewide ballot measure being presented to voters in November 2020. Researched and compiled the issue stances of Joe Biden, Donald Trump, Jo Jorgensen, and Howie Hawkins to help voters decide which presidential candidate to support. Collected and cleaned archival election results data for a client in a test case that ultimately won a contract for BallotReady. Provided data insights on a special marketing team designed to use BallotReady’s robust data base to communicate compelling data stories that highlighted important candidate demographic and issue trends to voters. Managed a team of three summer interns as they performed important data quality assurance projects as part of the General Election project alongside other, long-term projects

Supported the Clean Water for People campaign tasked with advocating for water infrastructure upgrades throughout the Great Lakes region while simultaneously ensuring water affordability for the most vulnerable residents through supported legislation in Illinois, Ohio, and Michigan. Created the pilot program for the Educate2Action workshop series designed to help community members develop the topical and advocacy knowledge necessary to participate in the local policy-making process. The pilot specifically focused on Zoning/Land-Use issues as part of Chicago’s Industrial Corridor Modernization Initiative and allowed me to work alongside community organizers to develop resources. The pilot framework was designed to be adapted to support the invasive species, green infrastructure, and agricultural runoff initiatives in the future.

Facilitated twice-weekly curriculum meetings for the five-teacher Physics/Chemistry team to ensure uniformity in instruction, assessment, and satisfaction of learning goals. Advocated for investment in science education on panels and at benefactor events with the specific goal of supporting STEM expansion at Saint Ignatius College Prep in conjunction with the strategic plan for the school. Oversaw the entire Robotics curriculum at Saint Ignatius, introducing over 100 11th and 12th grade students to introductory programming and engineering topics. Piloted the initial phase of the first major Science curriculum change at Saint Ignatius in over 20 years, resulting in the expansion of Science offerings to over 200 9th grade students.

Created and offered two separate elective courses in Astronomy and Meteorology as part of the strategic plan to retain more upper-level students in elective science courses beyond their graduation requirements. Advised design of school’s peer-to-peer professional development program and piloted the program prior to adoption across all divisions of the school the following year. Served on the Community Assistance Team and provided mental health resources and support for at risk students in the Upper School.
