The hotel caters for an array of occasions including weddings and special events and welcomes visitors from all parts of the world who are attracted to the area for its long-standing tradition of Irish music and natural beauty. Since the beginning of employment my roles and responsibilities have developed and increased. Responsibilities: Restaurant: Waiter in all three hotel restaurants, Chervil restaurant, Fitz pub and eatery, and Stone wall pizzeria. Challenges range from providing efficient, intimate service for small groups to catering for 15/16 buses in a day while still maintaining personal interaction and excellent communication. Bar: Responsible for extremely busy bar which hosts music sessions every night. Accurately process cash register transactions, inputting product costs, processing checks, refunds.  Reception: Carry out tasks regarding customer check-in, rates review and acknowledging customer feedback while delivering prompt and efficient service at all times. Worked as night porter on many occasions which entailed security checks and breakfast buffet set-up. Weddings and Events: Sole Responsibility for organizing reception drinks for up to 280 guests. Writers weekend, Doolin folk festival, Craft beer Festival, Conferences, product launches, exhibitions and gala banquets for up to 140 delegates: I play a significant role in organisational and bar duties on these busy occasions annually.
