Sports Editor for Johnston Press Scottish Weeklies - manage a team of sports reporters delivering print and online content for 30 titles and websites across the group.Key duties:● Overall responsibility for sports content of titles on all platforms● Major focus on large titles with day-to-day responsibility for producing sports section of The Fife Free Press● Set the direction and tone of the sports section both in print and online● Drive the development of digital and social across all channels to secure maximum benefit both interms of audience and revenue● Lead sports meetings and play full role in subsequent editors conferences● Lead weekly staff meetings● Play full role in management team and attend monthly meetings● Responsibility for leadership and people management of the sports team, carrying outperformance reviews, recruitment, development and disciplinary matters● Maximise commercial opportunities● Manage sports budgets to ensure all targets are met
