I have experience working on major projects where I gained skills in time management and collaborating with different stakeholders. I also have expertise in advanced finite element analysis and the writing of detailed technical reports as part my PhD training.I completed my bachelor degree in civil engineering with 1st Class Honours in 2011, after which I decided to first travel to gain life experiences and see the world. Whilst travelling abroad I gained industry experience working on the construction of a new underground station in Paddington London.I gained further experience in rail construction while working on the extension of London Bridge. In both projects, my main responsibilities included working with contractors to ensure construction was built to design, setting out temporary works, and ensuring overall quality control.I have recently completed a PhD in engineering, with a focus on the behaviour and design of steel bolted connections. The research involved the use of advanced finite element analysis, and aimed at improving the design provisions of steel bolted connections. In time, my research results, which have been published in leading peer reviewed journals, will be incorporated into North American and Australasian steel design standards.While I have enjoyed my PhD research, I am now looking forward to using my broad skillset and experience in structural engineering including advanced finite element analysis to join a professional team in design, proof engineering, construction and rehabilitation.
