I am lead Counselling Psychotherapist at 'It's Okay' Counselling Services based in Wrexham (North Wales border). I work with people with mental health issues, addiction, eating disorders, abuse or simply helping people cope with difficult life events. I am a person centred practitioner and provide a safe space for my clients to explore and learn about themselves in order to grow and move forward. Although Counselling and Psychotherapy can be seen as helping people in difficulty which has links to feeling of negativity, I always enjoy seeing people taking back control of their lives which for me represents the positive side of counselling.

Sport Psychology (SP) consultant working across the UK delivering SP principles to groups, teams and individuals in a variety of sports. Former lead consultant for Golf Union of Wales working across developmental and lead squads responsible for design, delivery and evaluation of performance programmes. Worked for EGU, numerous AASE squads, Wales Hockey and several county organisations. Specialise is golf and worked at the Golf College, Hartpury College and Myerscough College. Consultant in coach education delivering workshops to numerous County Partnerships in area of engagement and performance psychology. Sport Psychology lecturer for the Professional Golfers Association and lecturer in Coaching and Sport Psychology at Glyndwr University.

I played full-time golf for the best part of 20 years with a goal of gaining a tour card (like many others!!). As a junior I was national champion, Ru-up in British boys and represented Wales and GB & I at every level. I progressed to Senior level and again represented Wales and GB & I, won numerous events but really began to plateau I think caused by poor development and stress (high expectations) but still managed some good results. Turned Professional after not getting a Walker Cup call up and then played numerous tours in order to gain a Tour Card. It was hard work but still achieved some good results and got close but was quickly falling out of love with the game, pressure and the unpredictability of it. Played with some great players; Harrington; Westwood; Garcia etc.Retrained then in the Sport Sciences and played in sub elite role but won Welsh PGA and British Professionals which was a huge honour. Represented GB & I in PGA Cup and beat the USA to win the Llandudno Trophy.Great times, learnt a lot but could have done more!! But I'm not bitter!
