Responsible for specialist consulting in Training Design, Evaluation and Accreditation for the largest training deliver in Europe. Providing expert advice in Training/Learning Development and systematic training design, including DSAT and Joint Service Policy.As an L&D professional helping lead the transformation of the Army into a Learning Organisation as part of the Defence Learning Strategy.I am also a Football Association Coach Mentor, supporting the next generation of coaches to provide an inspiring learning environment for our children to enjoy football.

Led and delivered the Management of Training, meeting ISO 9005 quality requirements, for the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst , the UK’s premier leadership development institution. Executive lead for the Management of Organisational Learning and Development and the senior professional training advisor to CEO. Ensured training and learning was effective and efficient for the cohort of over 2000 students and 500 staff by reviewing business needs and refining activities to meet the needs of current and future business operating environment. Maximised staff performance by successfully writing and implementing the academy Development and Learning Strategy focused on improving performance within an envelope of reduced resources.

Head/Chief Executive Officer of 77 Army Education Centre Group managing a multi-stakeholder team of 47 staff, across 8 delivery locations, delivering to and 18,000 soldiers in the South of England. Responsible for the successful business planning and delivery of Leadership development, English & Maths, Language training, Military Resettlement to civilian life and support to Wounded Injured and Sick soldiers (Qualifications accredited at Levels 2-7 by national awarding bodies). Deployed as the Senior Learning Development Executive to UK Forces in Afghanistan, supporting 10,000 troops. Mentored and coached staff in gaining Post Graduate Teaching qualifications and reaching their potential. Routinely recruited and performance managed a wide range of staff, both civilian and military.

Senior Training Development Manager at Army Headquarters with the responsibility for implementing and managing complex multi-stakeholder training projects. Led, managed and assured the Army’s Training Development Team, which successfully concurrently delivered 16 core training projects including the implementation of organisational change programmes during significant business pressure. Ensured training was matched directly to organisational requirement, then designed and delivered, and evaluated using a systematic evaluation system to capture business worth.

Lead for the assurance and validation of training and education at the Army Foundation College (Harrogate), delivery training and education to under 18 yo soldiers. Ensured training met the required education and training standards. Coordinated OFSTED and Army Inspections.

Head/Executive Officer for the Army’s Leadership and Instructional Development Centre with a staff Learning & Development specialists. Successfully delivered a transformation change programme focused on how the Army trains, coaches and educates instructors to release the potential of recruits. This required excellent communication skills and an understanding of complex stakeholder needs to ensure change was effective.

Head of the Leadership and Initiative Training Department delivering leadership, Duke of Edinburgh’s Awards and apprentice Wider Key Skills to 1,000 16-17 Year-olds per year and staff development to the 150 trainers. Included the management and development of staff across both academic and outdoor education specialisms. Created bespoke training interventions to meet the business needs and to ensure the organisation met ethical and legal responsibilities.

Part of the team that established the LEWT at 14 Signal Regt. 3 years as the 2ic and 2 years in-charge. Developed and wrote the operating proceedures, and lead the LEWT on numerous exercises. Final deployment to Sierra Leone as the Ops WO of the joint EW Troop.
