I am a Naval Surface Warfare Officer with a Space Systems sub-specialty and an Acquisitions Program Manager. My past positions include serving as the Commanding Officer (CO) for USS MASON (DDG 87). Before my CO and XO tours on MASON, I was assigned to the Missile Defense Agency where I gained front office experience and performed as a System Mission Manager. I have also been a command course instructor at the Surface Warfare Officers School in Newport, RI. Before that, I was in command of MCM Crew DOMINANT and had the honor of commanding 5 MCM Class vessels during that tour. My other past positions have involved managing and leading shipboard departments of up to 350 personnel. My collateral duties have ranged from Command Level responsibilities down to performing At Sea rescues as a Small Boat Officer and as a Surface Search And Rescue (SAR) swimmer.I enjoy being a devoted father and husband.I strive for excellence in all of my personal and professional endeavors.Specialties: Leadership and management of personnel from diverse backgrounds to lead them collectively to accomplish a wide variety of goals with varying timelines in Acquisitions roles and shipboard that included the Navigation and Seamanship of U.S. warships. Overall operation of a ship that included all weapon systems, material maintenance management, shipboard engineering to include Quality Assurance, and resource management. The operations and end-to-end design of Space Systems, Government contracting, Search And Reacue onsite management and in situ performance.
