The classical definition of Construction Management (CM) is to control a project's time, cost and quality. To me, there is one more overriding consideration and that’s safety. They are not mutually exclusive and in fact, go hand-in-hand.CM is one of the most exciting, challenging, and rewarding professions imaginable, requiring close and careful coordination with owners, architects, general contractors and a host of other entities. As projects become more complex and expensive there will be additional focus on automated equipment, increased labor costs, tighter environmental compliance, and resource restrictions.Combining my educational and hands-on experience has afforded me the advantage of seeing the big picture as well as easily resolving the nitty-gritty daily occurrences on the job. Dealing with tradespeople with the understanding and empathy of someone who's been in their shoes has made communication, the essence of good management, so much easier.My successes have also been a result of utilizing advanced techniques and processes including AutoCAD, SolidWorks 3D, and Equipment and GPS Automation.
