While working there I was responsible for a portion of a recent development project in which I was assigned the task of creating apparatus and a piece of software to measure the accuracy of a large set of sensors. I attended a large amount of project meetings in which I was required to present a professional image. I visited factories where I saw the consequences of choices made by the team which either fixed or caused problems in the future. I gave a presentation on the progress of my part of the project to my team and I spent a large amount of time creating a computer application to run the measurements in the future. The work I did there gave me a better understanding of the MATLAB programming environment, a better understanding of the work environment and improved my ability to communicate with work colleagues effectively.
