Highway Safety Improvement Program Manager
CurrentLead the development and management of the department’s Highway Safety Improvement Program (HSIP) which addresses infrastructure safety needs on all public roadways in the state. Duties include managing the development and operation of several transportation improvement programs including the Rail Highway Crossing Safety Program, Federal Lands Access Program, High Risk Rural Roads Program, and the several initiatives incorporated in the HSIP. Serve on various cross-divisional safety committees and workgroups such as the Traffic Safety Engineer Work Group and Safety First Committee. Participation in the department’s Rail Crossing Safety Committee and serving as the liaison with the state’s Office of the Commissioner of Railroads. Perform policy and budget analyses on a wide range of transportation related issues. Assist with the management of cost-share and jurisdictional transfer issues.
